6th Gup Green Belt Requirements

Martial Arts Karate Lessons Taekwondo Denver

Time:
  • Minimum 3 months active training
  • Minimum 24 classes attended
  • Close Ready Stance "A"
  • Bending Ready Stance
  • Fixed Stance
Blocks:
  • Circular Block
  • Guarding Block 
Strikes:
  • Inward Knifehand Strike
  • Obverse Punch Fixed Stance 
Kicks:
  • High Kick
  • Downward Kick
  • Crescent Kick Defensive
  • Vertical Kick
  • Twist Kick
  • Multiple Kicking 2 Kicks Consecutive or Combination
Patterns:
Step Sparring:
Self-Defense:
Breaking:
  • Back Kick or Jump Front Kick
  • Front Punch (conditions apply)
  • A student may choose their own break, but it must be approved of by the Instructor no less than 2 weeks prior to testing.
Tournament Competition:
  • A student must participate in at least TWO tournaments between 6th Gup Green and testing for 4th Gup Blue.
  • What is the Won-Hyo pattern diagram, number of moves and meaning?
  • What is the meaning of the color Green Belt? 

Students should be keeping a notebook which must be presented in order to test for I Dan Black Belts.
